Here, you can hear the messages and stories behind their creations, discover why they started and what they've learned along the way.

Rachael Mayne: This Kiwi artist’s paintings make us what to step right into them. Created in her home studio, the landscapes are influenced by flowering meadows she has passed, flowers in vases around her home, and inspiring pictures she has stumbled across online.

Franziska Wiedemann: This German artist’s latest collection has all the retro vibes. A collaboration with ceramist Nela from Mion Arts, Franziska’s beaded jewellery has been inspired by all things sweet and summer vacation shots from the 60s and 70s.

Lina Gordievsky: Inspired by childhood memories of being in nature and the landscapes she sees around her today, Lina’s artworks depict stunning meadows and misty mornings.

Abby Lynne: Earlier this year we spoke to artist Abby Lynne and thought it would be lovely to check back in with her. We spoke about what has been inspiring her lately and took a step back to learn why she started painting in the first place.

The 108-page magazine (incl. cover) is also a celebration of the first 12 months of The Maker’s Story website. Over this first year, over 60 creatives from across the globe shared their stories with us. Each of these makers also feature in this special birthday celebration issue with their name, a short paragraph, photograph, their location and Instagram.
